The walled grounds of Ban Reemo, set on the exclusive hillside overlooking Bophut bay, are entered through automatic gates, to the covered car-port. Balinese-inspired stepping stones lead over a pond to the main entrance. The villa’s sensational living room is open-plan, with split-levels dividing the sitting and dining areas. The vaulted, wood-paneled ceiling affords the living room a great sense of space. Foldaway glass doors open out onto the adjacent terrace, and phenomenal sea views. The polished cream marble flooring throughout the villa is cooling and reflective. Chic, streamlined, contemporary designer furniture upholstered in a sensual colour palette, include an elegant sofa set, arranged around a wooden coffee table, an oversized window-seat sofa, and a dining table with cushioned benches. A 44” projector TV and surround-sound system are connected to DVD, CD, and satellite.

To the left of the main entrance, a fully equipped kitchen features matching cream marble counters, white cabinets, and stainless steel appliances. Stairs lead up to a bedroom, which overlooks the swimming pool and sea views beyond. The bedroom is furnished with a double bed, a large wardrobe, and equipped with a TV and DVD. The en-suite bathroom features twin sinks, a rain shower, and a bathtub positioned to take in the sea views.

Stairs lead up from the living room, to a detached pavilion, housing a second en-suite bedroom. From the terrace in front of the living room, an open stairway leads down to the pool deck. On either side of the pool, two further detached pavilions each host en-suite bedrooms, each with bath tub and shower. Sliding glass doors open out onto the poolside patio from each of the bedrooms.

The large, 18x8 metre infinity swimming pool is surrounded on 3 sides by a wide, sandstone, on which teak loungers and parasols are arranged. A third, open-sided pavilion, or sala, on the pool deck is equipped with a kitchenette and BBQ. Below the swimming pool’s infinity edge, and accessed by a stairway behind the sala, is another detached building, which houses a wooden sauna, seating 4, an exercise room, and the fifth en-suite bedroom.
