Designed in contemporary Thai style, Baan Jakawan features wood shingle peaked roofs, wood-panelled walls and ceilings, richly furnished interiors, and foldaway glass walls together with expansive outdoor living areas to capitalise on the soothing tropical air, sea breezes, and stunning views. The sprawling villa is laid out in multiple pavilions, and on different levels, offering an enhanced sense of space and privacy, beautiful lush gardens, and a multitude of venues for relaxing and entertaining.

The main living room is entered over a bridge across an ornamental pond, and features a high vaulted wood-panelled ceiling, polished hardwood flooring, and floor-to-ceiling glass walls that fold away on 3 sides. This vast, open-plan living space includes a large lounge, dining area, and fully-equipped kitchen. The lounge features sumptuous sofas and armchairs arranged around a coffee table and wall-mounted smart TV system. The dining area, in the centre of the room, under ceiling fans and chandelier, seats 14 diners, and is conveniently served by the well-fitted kitchen. The living room opens out onto a huge sand-wash balcony, which overlooks the pool, and includes a second lounge, together with an al-fresco dining set for 12, which can be extended for up to 20 diners.

Perhaps the most impressive feature of Baan Jakawan is the uniquely designed infinity-edge swimming pool, which melds into the sea views, and is accessorised with al-fresco dining, kitchen, and lounge areas. A sweeping stairway leads down from the upper bedrooms to the sand-wash pool deck, which is furnished with cushioned sun-loungers, parasols, and round sofa beds. The pool deck is flanked by a walled garden and lawn to the rear. The 20 metre main pool extends into a rounded pool, which features a wet-bar served by the pool sala pavilion. A kitchen, bar, and BBQ grill in the pool sala pavilion serve a dining set for 12, which can be extended for up to 20 diners.

Baan Jakawan’s 8 en-suite bedrooms all feature flat-screen TVs, built-in wardrobes, personal safes, mini-bars, split-level air-conditioning, and fantastic sea views. Adjacent to the swimming pool is a pavilion housing 2 bedrooms on 2 floors, each with a King-size bed, dressing area, desk, and bathroom with a view. The upper bedroom has a vaulted ceiling, free-standing terrazzo bath-tub, and walk-in shower, as well as a large private balcony, furnished with lounge chairs. The lower bedroom opens directly onto the pool deck, and includes a lounge area on the deck.

All 3 bedrooms open onto a large balcony overlooking the pool. To the rear, the bathrooms open onto private patio gardens. Below the swimming pool is a large bedroom suite, which features a four-poster bed, a lounge, dressing area, and large en-suite bathroom with free-standing terrazzo tub, twin sinks, and a walk-in shower. At the top of the property, housed in a detached pavilion, is the final master bedroom, which has large balconies to the front and back. The upper master bedroom features a vaulted wood-panelled ceiling with ceiling fan, comfortable lounge furniture, a King-size bed, desk, dressing area, and en-suite bathroom with free-standing terrazzo tub, twin sinks, and walk-in shower. Below the bedroom is an open viewpoint terrace. Also at the top of the property, is a sala pavilion with a lounge area. A kids bedroom features 6 bunk beds.

-Rates are exclusive of 10% service, 7% VAT, and 1% provincial tax.
-Extra bed charge is $50++ USD per person.
-Rates are inclusive of continental breakfast, in-villa chef service and airport transfers, one trip each way.
-Additional airport transfers are charged.
-Minimum stay of 3 nights in low and shoulder seasons, 4 nights during high season, and 5 nights during Xmas/NY.
-Check-in time is 15:00 and check-out time is 11:00, although early arrival and late departure up to 15:00 may be requested subject to availability.
-Balance payment is required no less than 75 days in advance of arrival. For bookings within 75 days of arrival, full payment is required to secure reservations.
