The view is an ultra-modern and sophisticated waterfront villa, perched on an elevated headland above a semi-private beach in Taling Ngam. Located in an extremely private and secluded enclave, yet within a short stroll of restaurants, bars, and spas, as well as the InterContinental Resort, the property features spectacular sunset sea views over the landmark Five Islands, Angthong Marine Park, and beyond. Sleeping up to 10 adults and 6 children in 6 bedrooms, The View is spacious and elegantly furnished, with an exciting range of entertainment areas and extensive facilities.

A private driveway leads to the spacious forecourt, and the impressive gated entrance to the property, which reveals spectacular 180 degree panoramic sea views. From the entrance, a bridge connects to the formal living room on the first floor of the main building, and a stairway accesses the pool level on the ground floor. The large 3-storey structure is glass-walled, and faces dramatic sea views, with a near vertical verdant garden featuring a cascading waterfall to the rear. The three floors are interconnected by a central floating glass staircase, which is illuminated at night as a sculptural element.

On the ground floor, the 16 metre infinity-edge lap pool features a built-in Jacuzzi at one end, with a sun-deck and loungers to the rear. Facing the pool is a casual open-sided living area, including a lounge and dining table, served by a kitchen, BBQ, and bar, as well as a retractable cinema projector system. At the far side of the pool, steps lead down to a sunken terrace with a secluded massage area. A large lawn on the opposite side of the pool offers a croquet play area.

The first floor living room overlooks a Koi pond and the waterfall to the rear, with glass walls opening onto a balcony and sea breezes to the front. The lounge is furnished with sumptuous sofas facing the view and a cinema projector screen, and includes an internet-ready iMac loaded with 40000 iTunes and movies that can be piped to the sound system throughout the property, as well as the movie projector systems. Between the lounge and dining room, the floating glass staircase leads up to the third floor, and down to the pool. The air-conditioned lounge and dining areas are separated by sliding glass walls. A long dining table seats up to 20 and is served by a fully-equipped kitchen to the rear.

On the top floor, the 2 largest master bedroom suites feature spacious dressing rooms that are suitable for baby cots, and en-suite bathrooms with walk-in rain showers. One of the master suites also features a second open shower in the bedroom, for slightly titillating immersion into the sea view. Both bedrooms include secondary outdoor bathrooms, one with a double bath tub on a wooden platform deck, and the other with a private garden shower. Slide away glass walls again open onto full-length balconies facing the views.

On the far side of the expansive lawn, accessed from the pool level, are 2 further master bedroom suites in detached pavilions, featuring indoor bathrooms with tubs and showers, and wrap-around timber balconies. All 4 of the air-conditioned en-suite master bedrooms are spacious and attractive, with sea views, floor-to ceiling glass walls opening onto private balconies, and include king-size beds, writing desks, wardrobes, large safes, minibars, ceiling-fans, iPod docks, and 32” satellite LCD/DVD systems.

A suspended wooden bridge leads to a separate pavilion that includes a kids’ dorm, with 6 single bunk beds, and an adjacent twin garden bedroom. A bathroom with shower interconnects the dorm and twin bedroom, which opens onto a private balcony overlooking the sea. The dorm includes an adjacent play area with a ping-pong table and a hammock.

A stairway leads down through the wooded slope to a semi-private beach, which is bordered by a creek at the far end. The beach has been structured into a small amphitheatre, with raised seating levels for lounging, sunbathing, and watching movies on the al-fresco cinema screen. Double and triple sea kayaks are available from the beach, which is also an idyllic wedding venue.

The View is a unique standalone villa, with the possibility of accommodating larger parties in the neighbouring Headland Villas, which offer an additional 12 bedrooms in 5 smaller properties. The competent team of staff includes a dedicated chef, maids, gardener, and a villa manager, who is also an experienced bar-tender.

Complimentary WiFi internet is available throughout the property. A chauffeured minivan is available for guests’ use, subject to some restrictions. Laundry service is complimentary. Automatic back-up generator maintains power during outages. Smoking is not permitted in bedrooms or enclosed areas.

Located on the West coast of Koh Samui, 15 minutes from the ferry port of Nathon and 35 kms from Samui’s international airport. Santiburi Championship golf course is 30 minutes drive away. Restaurants and spas are within walking distance.

Rates are for the entire property, with discounts for reduced occupancy as follows:
4 bedroom suites + garden room, sleeping up to 10.

-Rates are exclusive of 10% service, and 7% tax.
-Kids dorm with 3 bunk beds, sleeping up to 6 chidren, is available at an additional daily charge of $100++ USD.
