On the ground floor, the large open-plan living room opens onto the garden and pool, and includes a comfortable lounge area, a formal dining table seating 8, and a fully-equipped western kitchen. One double bedroom is located on the ground floor. Upstairs are 2 bedrooms separated by a corridor; a double and a twin, both open onto private balconies overlooking the pool.

Baan Tawan faces a small lane that leads to the white sand beach a few metres away. The beach is quiet and suitable for children. During the low tides of the summer months, large expanses of sand provide a huge play area. In the winter months, it is possible to learn kite-surfing on the calm, sheltered sandy lagoon. The beach is also great for long walks, and restaurants serving both Thai and Western cuisine can be reached within a short stroll. Samui Tiger Zoo, Aquarium, and Butterfly Park are also within walking distance.
